1. Advisory Committee on Business and Environment
The Advisory Committee on Business and the Environment (ACBE) provides for dialogue between Government and business on environmental issues and aims to help mobilise the business community in demonstrating good environmental practice and management.

ACBE V has come to the end of its current two year term and has now produced its annual report 2003. The report summarises the work completed in the last two years and distils the wide-ranging recommendations into five key principles for each of Government and business. The themes explored include: resource productivity, economic instruments, energy, waste, planning, and transport.

2. Association of Larger Local Councils
It is a designated aim of the Association to offer an opportunity for discussing and assessing the future role of local government in so far as it relates to those councils who are experiencing significantly different problems from those of our smaller parish colleagues. Many members of the Association are active to pursue an enhanced role for the work of their councils and existing Associations representing local authorities have shown that by grouping together, similar Councils are in a much better position to represent their common interest.

3. The Association of Chief Police Officers
The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) is an independent, professionally led strategic body. In the public interest and, in equal and active partnership with Government and the Association of Police Authorities, ACPO leads and coordinates the direction and development of the police service in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In times of national need ACPO, on behalf of all chief officers, coordinates the strategic policing response.

4. The Association of Directors of Social Services
The Association of Directors of Social Services represents all the Directors of Adults Social Services (DASS) and Directors of Children's Services (DCS) in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The Association is able to bring together tremendous breadth, depth and accumulated experience on all issues covering managerial policy and professional activities of social services departments. Our members are jointly responsible through the activities of their departments for the well-being, protection and care of thousands of children, elderly and disabled people and for the promotion of that well-being and protection through the use of direct services as well as their co-ordination of, and liaison with, voluntary agencies, private companies and other public authorities.

6. The Asylum and Immigration Tribunal
The Asylum and Immigration Tribunal is the successor to the Immigration Appellate Authority and the Immigration Appeals Tribunal. The Tribunal was set up under the Asylum and Immigration (Treatment of Claimants etc) Act 2004 and came into being on 4th April 2005. The purpose of the Tribunal is to hear and decide appeals against decisions made by the Home Office in matters of asylum, immigration and nationality.
